Photo by Matthieu Paley (@paleyphoto) | Carmelo Delgado is one of the participants in the yearly Carnival festival of Los Diabletes de Teguise (the Little Devils of Teguise) on Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. This unusual celebration is said to have taken place every February since the 16th century in the town of Teguise. The participants—who wear masks, a painted outfit, and bells—carry sticks and walk the streets scaring passersby. I was lucky to meet Delgado during his mask workshop and to hear his stories. Of course, we stepped into the street for a portrait. | Discover what makes #Lanzarote so special @turismolzt
