We are the oldest constitutional democracy on Earth - an irredeemable distinction, once lost. For once, among the exaggerated rhetoric of familiar election cycles, that distinction is actually at risk.

I believe in American exceptionalism. That belief requires, as a moral imperative, that I cast my vote for Hillary Clinton. American ideals were conceived almost exactly in opposition to the demagoguery Donald Trump is selling. A bully, he fetishizes oppression, illiberalism, and division, and as a result deserves only our fear and derision.
