Each month, ELLE Decor asks an artisan to create a unique item for us that has no price tag. At the end of the year, we’ll auction off these pieces to benefit the charity of each maker’s choice. The Argentine-born founder of Fueguia 1833 lyrically composes olfactory melodies out of plants and natural extracts sourced from his family’s farm in Uruguay—not surprising, as Bedel’s first love is playing guitar. The results are transportive fragrances that age like the finest Bordeaux, transforming over time, adding complexity and depth.
