Bad news. I called the Norwegian Animal Protection Service (Mattilsynet) today to see if they have received my complaint and ask who's to pay the medical bill for Sara, who I picked up today at the vet. They didn't seem to have knowledge of my complaint yet, and because they weren't done pushing their papers around, I had to pay the bill. I won't ever get that refunded, because I didn't follow the rules of the bureaucracy.
In other words, I payed 680$ for the treatment she got over night at the vet. I would appreciate any help I can get covering this, as I am a student and don't have the greatest economy. I'm thankful for any amount.

I'll be in contact with the owner today to inform her about the cost of this treatment, and future costs of keeping Sara. Hopefully she will transfer the ownership to me, and I'll have everything legally on my side as well as a relatively healthy, happy cat that I can try to get a loving home. If she demands on having her cat returned to her, I'll have to do just that and see to it that Mattilsynet deals with the case further. I hope she doesn't want her back as soon as she gets the numbers from me.
