After stomping around this world for 34 years I’ve finally rested in a place where I truly believe everything is on schedule. I pray it doesn’t take you so long to find this peace, but whenever you do stumble into it I can promise you it’s beautiful. The most beautiful and freeing feeling you’ll ever experience.

Oh y’all, I fought it all the way, just trying to find some control over life and make sense of it all. But for the first time in my life I’m holding what I love loosely. Funny how it works like that, when you loosen your grip your heart tends to open. Right in the middle of my chest feels warm for the first time in my life.

Some folks are just meant to float through our lives for little moments in time. And others will be with us for our entire journey. The truth is to hold them loosely. Everything is on schedule. Everything belongs.

So I leave you with this today, I say this daily on my lifetime journey of recovery:

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change. Courage to change the things that I can. And wisdom to know the difference. Just for today. ✨
