Sorry for the sad news, but I just have to let a few things out of my head. My buddy Kato Khandwala recently passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident. This is the only photo we have together, but it pretty much summed up our relationship. Kato played a huge part in making our album “Collide With The Sky.” He taught me so much about recording and opened my eyes to many different philosophies of music. I remember him telling me, “As long as a song is interesting and keeps my attention, then it’s a good song.” It wasn’t about making every song follow a cookie-cutter formula. It was about being as creative possible. For me, the hardest part about his passing has been that the world lost such a creative and brilliant mind. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that he is gone and can no longer produce beautiful things. Kato, I miss you and I love you, brother. Thank you for changing my life in such a positive way. ❤️
