The best way to show a dog you love them is through food (hint: PetPlate), as well as keeping us entertained and active with a variety of toys, rewarding us with treats, and giving us lots and lots of belly rubs.
No, really – studies have shown that there is an immense bond between humans and their dogs. The same human oxytocin bonding that happens with new moms and babies happens with dogs and their pawrents. ⠀

Some ways pawrents can show us they love us, include:

Ear Rubs: By gently rubbing your dog’s ear, you are triggering the release of endorphins which makes us high on love,
Feeding us by hand: We love you and food. Mix the two together and you have a recipe for real intimacy.
Saying I love you: Trust me, those three little words work on us too.
Training us (yup, it’s true) we love a good pack leader. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
