Growing up in Seattle, Chuck was the backbone of the neighborhood. He was involved in everybody’s life. He had a larger than life presence that made him easily approachable and everybody that met him, he became close with. He was considered a personal superhero to many from the Central District. He was a family man, taking great care of all 3 of his kids, along with his mother that lived with him. He also made sure his friends, even those that were put in jail were okay and had enough money to survive. He had such a big impact within the community, people started calling the Central District, Chuck District. The sudden passing of Chuck caught everybody by surprise because everybody knew him to be this untouchable being. Chuck’s oldest child was 15. Chuck was 36. The day he died, he found out he had another on the way.
Avatar Darko met Chuck when he was just a young boy. They meshed and became close very instantly. Chuck took Av under his wing and taught him how to survive in this world. Losing his father at the age of 13, Av quickly found Chuck to be the father figure he needed, along with being his role model. Chuck was a no bullshit, straight forward type of guy. He raised Av and showed him how to be a good person and a solid individual and taught him about integrity. Chuck was always there for Av. Whether it was when Av’s father passed, or when he graduated college, Chuck was always involved in every phase of Av’s life.
They made this EP to commemorate him.
They wanted to make the project for their neighborhood and anybody that may have known him. They wanted the EP to be a source of healing, and to give therapy for those that had a relationship with him and are grieving. They tried to recapture the same energy Chuck brought and present it through music form. Anybody that has ever lost a loved one will be able to relate and feel the energy that this Ep brings.
All proceeds from the project will be donated to Chucks family. -
