Three years ago, we had the pleasure of meeting 16-year-old Bretegne and her handler, Denise Corliss. Bretagne was the last surviving search and rescue dog at the site of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but the pair's hard work extended to several disaster search and rescue missions over Bretagne's lifetime. The long days and lives saved will never be forgotten, and neither will she. Thank you both for your incredible service.❤️ ⠀

Recently, a few BarkBox employees were volunteering with search and rescue dogs in Texas. We stopped by Bretagne’s memorial to pay our respects to the bravest dog we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. ❤️
