In middle school I did my “Figures in History” project on Gabrielle Chanel. My innocent shameless 13 year old self went around the Chanel makeup counters in department stores kindly asking for makeup samples so I could hand them out to my classmates. On the day of the presentation, I (secretly) borrowed my mom’s Classic 2.55 bag to embody the her character. This photo to me is more than just a pretty lip color.
