After getting Tofu, I've noticed that Stalin must have really bad hearing. Before, I thought he was just ignoring me, because he is a cat after all. But now I notice how easy it is to startle him, because he can't hear me moving into the room where he's relaxing. Tofu always goes crazy when hearing mice scrambling around in the walls at night, but Stalin just keeps on sleeping. Tofu is also more easily startled by sudden, loud noices from the TV, for example, whilst Stalin sleeps on blissfully and completely unstirred. I guess that could explain why he is a terrible hunter. The only "preys" he has ever brought home are a frozen sausage and the bone from a porkchop. I'm still waiting for treats from Tofu, but I see her catching bugs outside all the time, so I'm guessing they'll turn up soon enough.
