@kimmychristy I’m not saying he would be responsible for their actions, I’m just saying as a social media influencer who is educated and thoughtful, it would be wise of him to lead by example and use the great social media platform he’s built to further educate those who unfortunately don’t care to do so on their own and further protect the lands we all love to be able to visit and appreciate. It was no way an attack on Theron, just feedback to think about. But you’re right, not everyone is made to be a leader/lead by example and step up to do the right thing.

@teejayyohh - the copycat Instagram is a big problem at times. It caused a lot of problem during the superbloom here in California. People driving and laying down all over flowers to get the shot. It's the cumulative effect that can have big consequences, not the solitary act but the sharing it as an influencer part. I'm sure you were being present and not considering your influence as a photographer that people mimick.

@teejayyohh @thiswildidea isn't responsible for what other people do. If those other people aren't educated or responsible enough and do something harmful to the land, that's on them. He's not responsible for their thoughtless actions. If people go traipsing through flower beds or tulip fields, etc, it's because they have no respect, and I'm certain their lack didn't come from something they learned from Theron.

Great picture and I love Maddie! For those who are so “shook” about Maddie laying on the wild flowers, I would remind you of Thumper’s words from Walt Disney’s Bambi...”If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.” If the Bureau of Land Management was that concerned about those flowers there wouldn’t have been cows grazing in the field. Let’s all take a deep breath and a Xanax!

My son sad in some wild flowers on a trail we often take. I wasn’t concerned about the flower they were literally carpeting the entire hill. I didn’t take a picture though because I knew some people would be upset. I mean we could just build more roads or sidewalks do we won’t trample any flowers.

I bet when Maddie gets up, those beautiful wild flowers will pop right back up towards the sun. Maddie is a beautiful part of nature also. She has seen more of nature than most of us ever will. I have grown to love her through her pictures. Luv you Maddie.
