When Roger Deakins won his first Oscar last year after almost 20 previous nominations he was shooting our film and the next day just...came back to work. With Roger on-board and Capt. John Crowley at the helm I felt like a stow away on the most excellent ship of pirates, and every day brought a new adventure. It was a privilege to audition for young Boris and an even greater gift to help bring him to life with such a dedicated cast and crew.
