From debunking societal myths that pit women against each other to reclaiming a space that has been historically almost exclusively male: being part of a community of women musicians is an extremely important way of fighting trenchant and devastating patriarchal norms. There’s no shortage of AMAZING lady shredders and I’ve always appreciated artists who choose line ups that reflect that. I’ve had the honor of playing and traveling with some amazing people and couldn’t be more grateful.
