Not exactly the graduation day I was expecting.
Photos is a text that reads: I graduate today with an MS. Remotely. Separated from the close to my heart community that my cohort had become and in honor of the SW community I belong to.
I appreciate how each community member helped me in the littlest but biggest ways. You have helped me find my balance navigating hardships, fears, and most of all change. The shared time and space and conversation got me through it.
As many challenges and heavy hearted moments there were there were as many and more moments of lightness, joy, hijinks, and resilience.
It is magic to join a enter space where people feel belonging among one another through their shared and individual ups and downs. And for two blink-of-an-eye years that’s what we had. Magic. Lucky to have had the time.
So cheers
to continued service to my home community of SWers. I graduate to honor my roots and to remember to give back what I can.
to my peers graduating in this cohort and my cohort of other SWers graduating their respective programs, we did it!
