ドイツや日本ではひとまず落ち着きを見せているコロナウィルスですが、昨年訪れたバングラデシュのロヒンギャ難民キャンプなど世界の厳しい環境での感染拡大が懸念されています。もともと医療体制が脆弱な地域では医療が崩壊し、新型感染症はもちろん、予防可能な感染症で子どもたちが命を落としかねない危機にさらされています。
コロナ禍では僕自身も自分や身近な人の事しか考えられない日々が続きました。
しかしこういう時だからこそ広い視野を持ち、想像し、思いやりの気持ちを持ちたいと強く思っています。
みなさんも感染予防に注意しながら、世界中で日々懸命な努力を続けてくださっている方々を応援しましょう！

The pandemic appears to have stabilized in Germany and Japan. But the threat is approaching to many places in difficult situation including Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh I visited last year are under threat. Their medical systems, which were already vulnerable before the pandemic, are on the brink of collapse. Children there are facing serious risks to lose their lives not only because of the coronavirus but also because of preventable diseases.
Let us continue protect ourselves, loved ones, and help the frontline workers who continue making their tireless efforts to save our and children lives!
