Was kinda shocked that our conservative Christian schools allowed us to put this on (!?). It’s a play about three people being stuck in a drawing room and then realizing that they’re in hell. Anyways there’s always been one quote from the play that has stuck with me: “Hell is other people" — referring to how we are unable to escape the watchful gaze of everyone around us. “The play by Sartre perfectly illustrates the difficult coexistence of people: the fact that others – and their gaze – is what alienates and locks me in a particular kind of being, which in turn deprives me of my freedom.” Sooo there’s my lil bit of existential philosophy for today ...and just wanted to say to all the youth out there: you can never to be too young to think deeply about issues - express yourself and your opinions in your art 💕」6月7日 9時56分
