"I have moved schools almost seven times in the past ten years, and my biggest fear has always been cyberbullying. The unknown is still a scary thing, but with the introduction of technology, the impact and effect of the “unknown” can become worse. I’ve seen my friends be bullied on the internet."
Gitanjali, 14, who created “Kindly”, an internet service that helps to detect and prevent cyberbullying using the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence. The internet is always evolving — and internet safety needs to evolve with it. As young people spend more time online amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Gitanjali wants kindness to be the top priority in keeping herself and others safe. "I like to spread the message of kindness and its importance in our community. I like to use technology to solve problems in our community and hopefully inspire others to be kind."
