DARREN&PHILLIPさんのインスタグラム写真 - (DARREN&PHILLIPInstagram)「We’ve made lots of new friends on here recently, so for those of you that have just started following our boys, here’s a little bit of background about @darrenandphillip We started the boys account back in 2013, my mission was to show the world the real personality of a staffy, which often involved pictures of them being ridiculously silly and cute, and often whilst wearing some kind of adorable outfit, which were all baby clothes that I’d modified at the time. With nothing but less than attractive horse type jackets around for bigger dogs, I decided I wanted to make my own clothing brand. My thoughts were, 1) I want to be able to dress my dog in a style I would wear myself. 2) If more staffies/Pitties were pictured in gorgeous, fashionable clothing (that actually fit them) instead of choker chains and studded collars, that people’s perception of the breed could be different. 3) Having learnt through Instagram about how many staffies that were stuck in shelters and in desperate need of rescuing every day, I could use our popularity and platform to build a brand that assisted to Staffy and pitbull rescues financially too. So that’s what we did. In 2014 I drew my first ever design and in 2016 that design became a reality. Since then, it’s been incredible to see pictures of staffies and pit bulls allooking totally beautiful all over Instagram in our designs. I really feel that our brand has played an important part in helping change the publics perception of our breed. But it’s grown to much more than that. In 2017 we added in our first “Match your dog” design, where you could wear the exact same style as your dog. We were nervous before releasing it, but it took off like nothing we could expect. Today, we’ve released over 60 styles for dogs of all breeds, women, men and baby and raised over $490,000 for rescues around the world. And it’s only growing, thanks to all of our incredible supporters that love our brand.
