テート・ギャラリーさんのインスタグラム写真 - (テート・ギャラリーInstagram)「This month's Uniqlo #TateLates is a celebration of Warhol's life and work, taking place on Thursday 6 August — what would've been the artist's 92nd birthday. ⁣ ⁣ We're pleased to welcome @ryanlanji and @vivekvad to the night to present their take on Warhol's iconic 'Screen Tests' of the 60s, which originated in the artist's 'Factory’ — an experimental art studio and social space in New York City. From 1964–6, Warhol documented the people who passed through the Factory by creating unscripted film portraits. The title 'Screen Tests' refers to the Hollywood convention of filming new faces to test their screen presence. In Warhol's films, his superstar subjects were left to be themselves in front of the camera with nothing to do but return its gaze.⁣ ⁣ Fashion and art curator Ryan Lanji and artist Vivek Vadoliya will be turning Warhol's lens on to members of @hungama_ldn, East London's Queer Bollywood Hip Hop Night, to present a short film inspired by the artist’s famous 'living artworks' and his long lasting legacy on pop culture.
