I was proud to be bartender. I loved having regulars, knowing the ins and outs of their lives. Everyone is struggling now. BUT everyone has their favorite restaurant or bar. The bar they met their spouse. The bar they go to with their friends. Their favorite place they order take out from when they’re sick. The place they go for their birthday. If Congress doesn’t act these places will be gone and won’t come back. Our neighborhoods will be become chain restaurants at best and at worst barren of places to go and be social when it’s time to be social again. And we’ll all need those spaces to reconnect.
