Today’s #WCW has a laundry list of accomplishments - nurse, pastor, mom, activist and as of last night, she also captured 49% of the votes in Missouri’s Democratic primary election. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS GOES OUT TO @coribush! Born and raised in St. Louis Missouri, Cori understands the struggles of the community on a personal level. Her path to fighting injustices began in 2014 when a white police officer shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri. Since then, her fight to equality has not stopped and in fact has risked her own life while protesting and dodging rubber bullets by those same police. When she wins this election, not only will Cori be the FIRST Black congresswoman in the entire history of Missouri, but she will be holding every single one of those police officers accountable. Let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there.
