I remember when i was in junior high (around 2004) I rented The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Rushmore. I remember how i was so addicted to movies that moment and have a GOLD member card in that rental place. It was a VCD and changed to DVD. I even tried to remember the names of the director so i could watch all of the movies made by the director that i liked. Funny thing i also watched Euro Trip that moment and thinking it was some kind of soft porn just because there’s a nude beach scene and the twins kissing! Hahahah. I saved a lot of my pocket money from my parents to rent movies and manga in junior high Lol (if they knew this i’ll be deadmeat). I am so glad I did that though. That’s where I learnt movie culture, and also to speak english! I changed the subtitle to english so i would know how to pronounce the words and i have my alfalink ready on my hand. Oh wow what a moment. Hahahah i am literally laughing at my adolescent era while typing this caption.
