While packing up what's left of my belongings and moving it all into storage, I'm naturally feeling all kinds of nostalgic and grateful for every page in this chapter of my life.  Of all the many lessons and blessings, I've made note of these three things;

1. My first Toronto apartment overlooked a dog park with balconies made for cloud surfing.  It's where I started @allthingskoze and rediscovered my truest safe place and easiest voice within the words that flew out of my pen or fingertips.  It's also where I finally made the commitment of learning to be patient and befriend my anxiety and depression instead of numbing and running away from them.  My second Toronto apartment were these very walls lit up in neon with my best friend while we lived out the kinds of dreams and memories that would have made our younger selves beam with excitement.  Last year these same walls became the solo-cocoon that held me while I took some time to heal, be, breathe and grow while the world felt like it was a doing summersaults. It's where I met myself at my deepest and decided to love whoever I found there.
Through all of this, I've decided that bedrooms, apartments, memories and cities can own permanent land in our hearts much like people do.

2. With this understanding, I changed my definition of home to "time spent with hearts owned by souls that I cherish most, including my own."  In other words, home is where your heart is.

3. I've learned that the two most valuable resources you'll ever have throughout your entire life are your time and energy.
If you spend these two things mindfully and intentionally, you can be rich in ways that money and accomplishments will never make you no matter how hard you work. Invest wisely then jump in willingly.
