The first time in a new group of people has always been tough for me... whether it was my first dance class at 3 years old... or my first day on my yoga teacher training at 29. I have always cocooned myself with the people I know and trust with a trepidation to step outside of that. But what I’ve learned over the years is that the fear or anxiety is short lived and is minuscule in comparison to the joy and beauty you enjoy when meeting new people. Knowing this has built my confidence and those nerves right at the beginning last for less and less time the more I open myself up to the world around me.
