"We have a huge problem with marine animals being caught in plastic pollution and discarded fishing waste in Namibia, as well as all around the world. We have started an environmental trust named @oceanconservationnamibia and have saved over 400 Cape Fur Seals from entanglements this year so far, with no end in sight unfortunately. There is no formal rescue infrastructure in place around here, so we do daily patrol and catch the animals by hand or with our specially built net. Our mission is to raise local and global awareness through social media, as well as facilitate research initiatives that can be the catalysts to change policy regarding the dumping of waste, and penalties for those caught doing so." - @namib_naude
