For this year’s @USOpen, @Polo Ralph Lauren invited frontline workers like Dr. Kaedrea Jackson, an Emergency Medicine Physician at @MountSinaiNYC, and her colleague, Dr. Erik Blutinger, to take center stage as a tribute to their heroic efforts.
“This is a fight we are all in,” says Dr. Kaedrea Jackson, when asked about her experiences on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City.
Dr. Erik Blutinger has also continued to fight against COVID-19. Despite the challenging months he spent on the frontlines — when he saw his first patient, an otherwise healthy young woman struggling to breathe in the emergency room — Dr. Blutinger remains motivated.
“We are all heroes. I have seen countless acts of kindness, courage, and grace performed by so many families, friends, and strangers across New York City and the world… Most people appear motivated to inspire others and lend a helping hand in this fight.” says Dr. Blutinger.
