My main interests are business and the life sciences especially the intersection of technology in both areas. Throughout high school, I’ve conducted my own longevity research and lead in 4 business related clubs/boards. I enjoy using the skills I’ve learned from each of those areas to address issues of racial and socioeconomic inequality. I’m a 2020 @kodewithklossy scholar where I worked with a wonderful team to build a website addressing the issue of medical racism around the world. Being a part of Kode with Klossy really strengthened my love for technology by revealing all of the possibilities that it brings regardless of if one works directly in the tech industry. This year I founded the organization ‘Voices Amplified’ (@bipoc.voices.amplified) after identifying that those not directly affected by issues of systemic racism may feel a disconnect that results in passive behavior. In addition, there is a need to highlight the accomplishments and excellence of BIPOC in order to build an uplifting narrative. ‘Voices Amplified’ was founded to meet these needs through educational posts, celebratory highlights, advocacy for a mindset change, international events, fundraising, and much much more! At Voices Amplified I work with a team of 15 amazing officers and members from across the US. We have come up with some big plans for the future so we are currently recruiting new members and partners!
