Why? Mostly we’d act a fool & laugh (the top of “Playa Playa” has snickering & of course “Chicken Grease” has the humorous vibe all throughout its DNA on #Voodoo) but man, the mother of them all? Coming back to the studio after a break (gave #RoyHargrove 3 hours to knock out his horn parts on @Common’s #LikeWaterForChocolate) —-instead of listening to Roy’s work we decided to knock out the hand claps & listen to his work at the same time—- so that laughing/screaming on the 1:51 mark of #LWFC’s #ColdBlooded was us in a 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 mind blown state at how effortless Hargrove’s harmony stackgame was —-& it’s mostly us trying to make each other laugh. s/o to @jazzysingnyc for capturing this moment unbeknownst to me.
