I had the idea to give Jude Law a makeup box with no mirror for the first cover of V Magazine. I first asked him to put his finger on the blue pigment and do the eyes, then on the red to do the mouth, so little by little the face would be all made up. I ended up liking the idea so much that when I had my show at the National Portrait Gallery in London, called “Portraits”, I asked Kate to do the same for the catalogue’s cover. I find personality transcends anything and this is the perfect example.

Tuve la idea de darle a Jude Law una caja de maquillaje sin espejo para la primera portada de V Magazine. Primero le pedí que se pusiera azul en los ojos, luego el rojo en la boca y que así poco a poco se maquillara la cara. Me terminó gustando tanto la idea que cuando tuve mi exposición en la National Portrait Gallery de Londres, llamada "Portraits", le pedí a Kate que hiciera lo mismo para la portada del catálogo. Encuentro que la personalidad trasciende cualquier cosa y este es el ejemplo perfecto.
