Last week I had the opportunity to truly unplug, as in legitimately off-grid with no cell service, for 5 days of unbelievable rafting and camping down the stunning Salmon River in Idaho.

I’ve only been rafting a few times before, only single day trips. And in my nearly 40 years of life, I’ve actually only been camping a few times as well. And yet there I was, doing both, with 25 people I had never met before in my life. Some were our amazing guides from @actionwhitewateradventures, but most were a group of lovely souls looking for depth, and healing, and connection with their deepest selves and nature.

The entire trip was completely unexpected. I wasn’t meant to have the time off in order to even be there. And since it was so impromptu, I was randomly added to the trip at the last minute, having no idea it was even a wellness retreat until I got there. But, as God tends to work, that’s precisely what I needed.

5 days of nature, adventure, and soul searching. Mornings full of yoga and meditation led by @intothewoodswell, and some bomb white water fun led by @britttten @karlfreeski @beejbradley @dan.duerden @rjcamp & the big man himself, Verle, @salmonriverboss.

I’ve been so incredibly blessed with amazing travels in my life, and this trip is up there with the best of ‘em. Part of it was the river, part of it was the company. All of it I highly recommend. 🙏🙌 (All these sexy pics taken by the multitalented @jasper.gibson 😍)
