@projectforemptyspace unveiled a new mural of women's rights activist Sojourner Truth by artist Grace Lynne Haynes @bygracelynne for the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote. The mural first appeared on the cover of the New Yorker, one of two designs Haynes has created for the storied publication. "When I put brush to canvas I think about things like: Who are Black women when we are in safe spaces?" she told ELLE.com "What type of protection do Black women need?
