Not many people know that my mom coached me for a good portion of my early skating career, and even after we decided it was best for our off ice relationship to stop working together, she was still always there to point me in the right direction and guide me along the path to be able to work with some of the amazing people I’ve gotten to work with and work with still today. Not many coaches can be as positive and loving, as well as tough and stern with their students at the same time as she can. She will never let a skater give up on themselves when they don’t believe it for themselves. From teaching me how to skate and how to get back up each time i fell, to following me around the province and country, to becoming my biggest supporter and number one fan always, and to teaching me how to be a better coach myself.
