A day at the races, photographed in Florida a handful of years back. I was curious about the history of horse racing and did some brief research - From what I read, horse racing dates back to 4500BC and was long considered the “sport of kings”. It’s one of the most common, legal forms of gambling internationally speaking and generates well over 100 billion dollars annually in revenues. It’s extremely dangerous, an estimated 800 horses die each year and thousands get injured during these high speed races.
