“The Legend of Hagihime” 👸🏻
800 years ago there was a beautiful princess in Kyoto named Hagihime who suffered an incurable disease. 🤒
One day she was told that if she soaks in the 500th river northeast of the capital, then her illness would be cured. ✨
Upon hearing this, Hagihime headed northeast to the Touhoku region of Japan. 🏃🏻♀️
After a long journey, she arrived at the Bandai-Atami Onsen, the location of the 500th river. 🥰
Upon bathing in the hot springs, her illness was completely cured. ✨😆✨
This legend has been passed down since ancient times, making Bandai Atami widely known as a beautifying and healing natural onsen.🌀✨💕
Today was a cold and rainy autumn day, so the waters certainly made me feel more energetic. 😆✨
...But I’m not sure if my feet got any more beautiful.. I think they need to soak a bit longer! 😅
Nearby there is a small museum where there is a picture taking stand made by a local craftsman. ☺️
The last picture is the modern adaptation of Hagihime, Hagi-Chan created by a famous Japanese artist: Coffee Kizoku.
Who do you prefer? Classic Hagihime or modern Hagi-chan? 🧐
