Suddenly it seemed like filmmaking was something that I could actually do. . Maybe even as a job. . I did all the requisite meetings with agents and managers and producers. . I did the “water bottle” tour of LA & NY. I got sent a lot of really mediocre (ok - downright awful) horror scripts. . And I dipped back into shooting stills as I figured out what film project I should do next. . Now if I’d been REALLY smart - I would have had script as I took all those general meetings. Ready to go. . But I hadn’t really made BUGCRUSH as a “career” move. I didn’t even think people would see it. . So yeah - I was unprepared. . It was strange going back to shooting fashion. Back to the world of advertising and client consensus. . It didn’t feel as special. Not now that I knew what else was out there. . I read script after script and worked on a few of my own until one day I got a script that I fell in LOVE with. . More tomorrow . Carter . P.S. Here’s another shot of Jay.
