If that is true for you, you are speaking from a place of great privilege. Relate but don't project; encourage but don't diminish. Rejoice. Acknowledge. Repeat. If you're a woman, you probably have a deep understanding of the stigma associated with being A Woman Who is Constantly Sick. So why contribute to that? If it's because deep down inside, you still believe the lies your culture's told you about yourself or your sisters, I have news for you: Your work is not done. Keep shining that light inward.  As for protecting my physical health, that's a delicate balance. The best thing for me is to have a team of healthcare providers that can, in various ways, support my efforts to stay active.
