BIG HEART RANCH MISSION: To provide a forever home for neglected, abused, and/or abandoned animals and a safe place for humans to heal and grow from trauma and mental or emotional struggles through connection and care of our rescued animals. BIG Heart Ranch is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and community wellbeing center that provides experiential, nature-based, animal assisted growth & healing programs, to families and individuals affected by crisis, challenged by financial shortages, and people struggling with the effects of childhood and/or adult trauma. PROGRAMS: Based on the principles of post-traumatic growth and the proven science of human and animal healing connections, BIG Heart Ranch provides experiential wellbeing opportunities, education, and mental health services for under-served people and those struggling from childhood, environmental, community, cultural or historical trauma. including our signature H.I.G.H. (Horse Inspired Growth and Healing) program. IMPACT: Since 2006 BIG Heart Ranch has rescued over 150 abused and neglected animals and donated over $1,000,000 in free therapeutic services to disadvantaged families and individuals, and those recovering from addiction or trauma. TOUR: We offer a guided two hour visit/ tour with a suggested donation of $60 per adult and $30 per child. This will include many fun interactions with all of our rescue herd, feeding chickens & bunnies, brushing our goats, and walking a mini pony! We will have plenty of time to wander around the ranch and you are welcome to bring along a picnic lunch / snack to enjoy in our beautiful healing garden.
