I still remember the the Ariel view before touchdown of my plane and somthing told me within my heart “this city will give you every thing you ever dreamt of”. Needless to say, it did....I was a contestant with Rs 55 in my bank account heading as a finalist to train for Ms India. Not only did I win Ms India, I became a runner up at Ms Universe was launched in films by the great Feroz Khan and had an amazing 10 years until I got married to an Austrian expat and moved overseas for new beginnings. Despite having lived the best possible life as a very successful expatriates wife in Singapore, Dubai and Europe my love and gratitude for my “Mumbai” a place where one can find great paradoxes and little joys at every turn, always made my heart ache. I am elated to be a part of the OH BOMBAY group on FACEBOOK for I truly feel connected back to the city which I feel so deeply for.
