'Beautiful, Altogether' was written during the embers of last Christmas before we were all told to stay apart throughout most of 2020. It has a bittersweet resonance in 2020’s unusual holiday season about the beauty of family and friends all coming together in all of its chaotic splendour. I hope you hear it as a reminder of how much we all need each other in spite of everything. To answer the question about the title - ‘altogther’ as opposed to ‘all together’ - it’s not a misprint. I like that ‘altogether’ means ‘all things considered’ and I appreciated that bit of subterfuge in the title!
