Even if things don’t feel perfect, (*somehow I even accidentally posted the same picture twice here, just one with a weird color filter somehow🙈😂 oh well!) we all have to just find sparkles of joy in everything and find ways to make things as happy as we can! Just to share: we celebrated my Christmas (I’ll post more of it, but just enjoyed it without posting) on the 23rd, and drove the kids up to Tahoe on Christmas Eve day, so they could spend it with their dad. This year we couldn’t do Christmas like normal with all our family. But we had the best Christmas on the 23rd, we ate a take-out Christmas Eve dinner on the road, outside in 20 degree weather with zero people in sight! And though it’s not normal...we made it as fun, awesome as we could and made memories. If you’re alone, sad, feeling like this is un-normal...feel the hug I’m sending you and know your greatest Christmas might be next year! 2 years ago, I was alone on my mom’s couch in Nevada while my kids were at their dads and my mom wasn’t in California with my sister. I was crying and sad and no one on the internet knew, my heart was sad and I even got stood up for New Years plan...only God knew by the next Christmas I would have found my @doctorford and that this Christmas as a whole little family (even if it was on the 23rd -divorce and custody makes holidays require extra creativity!) Maybe you won’t even believe how different next year will be from this year!
