But did you know it is an elaborate replica of the City Hall of Gouda, a city in the Netherlands? I didn’t. I only discovered this when I saw that the Gouda mayor, Pieter Verhoeve, had recorded a holiday message for Dutch people in Singapore, who wanted to go home for the holidays but couldn’t.
