My name is Vaimoana Litia Makakaufaki Niumeitolu and you can call me Moana. I was born in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. I’m from the village of Kolomotu’a (🙌🏽Kolooooooooooo). My first name Vaimoana means deep blue ocean 💙🌊. I was named after my maternal grandmother. My middle name Litia is a Fijian name. When you say my name, you connect me to not only the place but the spirit and people I come from.
