OXO was born of love. Sam Farber designed the first OXO peeler for a pair of hands he loved more than his own. His wife Betsey had mild arthritis that made using a metal peeler a struggle—but they knew there had to be a better way. Together, they created the now-iconic OXO handle, and OXO was born.
