We believe that Black History Month is about celebrating and learning about the many achievements of Black, or African-American, people! Today, we're featuring Dr. Theodore K. Lawless. In a time when black people were often barred from completing clinical training, Dr. Lawless was persistent and completed his MD in 1919 and pursued training in dermatology at Harvard and abroad. He was a pioneer in medical research and the first African-American certified by the American Academy of Dermatology. Are there other Black pioneers in the beauty space that have inspired you?
