These pics were taken almost exactly 6 months apart. When they say take before pics… THIS IS WHY. I feel like July was almost a whole other lifetime ago… so much has happened. I don’t think I ever shared here, but back when I started this journey my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He’s good now! So no worries. But it was definitely a kick in the pants to work harder (fully aware I can’t get prostate cancer but ya know 🤷🏻‍♀️). A few weeks after I found out about dad, my cousin tragically died in a car accident. A month later, my boyfriend’s dad passed away. Round it up in November with my cousin’s boyfriend tragically taking his own life. ALL of that has made it feel like so many lifetimes ago… I also have a different mind than I did. It thinks differently it’s getting sharper all the time. Mostly it’s healing. Healing from the tragedies of last year and healing from all the hate I have spewed at myself relentlessly. Healing from all the stares and questions. Healing from the thought of having to shrink myself to fit into a world I felt like I didn’t belong to. Thank you all for being a part of the journey.
