Goodbye to The Upsetter @lee_scratch_perry ... Dug up this priceless video from a decade ago... We had so much fun in the studio. No single producer has made an impact on me as much as Lee Perry. I was lucky to have him in my life for a short time and I only scratched the surface of his insane genius.. He transcended the studio into an instrument.. "Producer" as a concept was defined with his work experimenting on multitrack recordings.. Modern genres like hip hop dub or dance would not be the same if we never found his chaotic genius way of music in Jamaica.. From giving Bob Marley his first sound to creating dub records that changed the way music can be created, and paved the way for so many genres we love today. He is worth researching if you’re not familiar with this legend..
