As I watch the Ladies practice (streaming on @peacocktv) from U.S. Nationals, I want the people who continue to work hard at something everyday, and are close to being “included” yet still on the fringe and wonder if others will ever see them how they see themselves, to remember I was NOT the favorite at this same Nationals event, just weeks shy of the Olympics. I secured the final place on the Ladies team to earn my Olympic spot & represent Team USA 🇺🇸. And represent I did!! Now, 2️⃣0️⃣ (😳!!!!) years later, my Olympic moment is OUR Olympic moment, and one that is part of the Olympic promotions. I share this to remind you: Know your worth. Believe in yourself. Because something hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t be done. We can do hard things. We all have greatness within ourselves. Being able to share it with others is unbelievably special. ❤️ I can write a lot about this, but I’ll end with this: If you’re like me, proud of your victories of 🥈 & 🥉s, but also soooo close to 🥇that sometimes you feel rejected, I am already excited for you to experience that feeling when you turn that rejection into redemption. And I’m excited for those that are able to share in your greatness. Keep believing in yourself. Take care of yourself. Be kind along the way. Just know, you can do it.
