Earlier this week, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, London, to learn about @MyICCLondon’s history and meet members of the community who use the centre. The centre has its own auditorium, bar and performance spaces, and promotes community and education programmes. During the visit, Their Royal Highnesses played a Bodhrán with traditional musicians, attended a singing class with the group, watched a performance of Irish music and dance and met some of the centre’s knitters. To mark the 25th anniversary of the Irish Cultural Centre, The Prince pulled a pint of Guinness. The visit to @MyICCLondon comes ahead of Their Royal Highnesses’ visit to the Republic of Ireland next week, from Wednesday 23rd to Friday 25th March.
