Every year in Denmark, more than 70.000 women are psychologically abused by their partner and 38.000 are the victim of physical violence. LOKK represents more than 50 women’s shelters in Denmark. Supporting the shelters to ensure the policy framework needed for the shelters to help women and their children move on to a safe and secure future without violence. In 2020 around 2.300 women and almost the same number of children stayed at a women’s shelter. This collaboration was born from the personal experience of Creative Director Sanne Sehested, who wants to do her part in breaking down the taboo of growing up in a violent home.
